Does happily ever exist?

Do you promise when you grow up, you will do things differently? Yes, do you? My sister asked. Yes, I do. Somehow, we will be the start of something new. My sisters and I grew up in an abusive home, where it was drilled into you that you were no good and never would amount to anything. Punishments were cruel and severe. Kneeling on a register vent for hours, standing in a corner unable to move for days, locked in bedroom, for days and days. Sitting in the laundry room with my sister making that promise to one another, did we know how hard that journey was going to be.

Growing up, I would fantasize about the day that I would find my prince charming, he would save me, and we will live happily ever after in our little white house with a picket fence. Laughter and happiness sound out in every moment of our existence. Little did I know lurking in the back of my mind was the darkness that drew me to a world of failed relationships and disappointments. Over and over again, I would find myself caught up, giving 150% of me, only to meet with abuse and failure. I am a world changer, and I can love people to change, but a piece of me died with every failed relationship.

I realized ten years ago that there was nothing left for me to give, even if I would not know how to love or be loved. Everything I grew up thinking it was, it was not, and there was no one to model what was right. I fought to fill empty spaces with anything that would ease the pain, fill the void, or whisk me off to something new and make me forget where I came from, only to find myself in a darker place.

Ten years ago, I stopped trying to fill the emptiness and pain by focusing on raising my children. I believed closing that part of my life; I would protect all of us. Today as my children are older, they will carry wounds of their own. In some ways, it did protect them, but in others, it deepened them. I sit here today lonely and broken. These chains that have shackled me are heavy, and I am tired. Tell me, does happily ever after exist?

 

Let’s talk about this vaccine; I know and understand that not everyone is going to agree and I am OK with that. I have been a nurse for 25 + years, currently specializing in Infectious Disease. We have been dealing with this Virus for the past 18 months or longer, and yet they are endlessly pushing and manipulating people to fall into line and become injected with this MRNA vax. I have worked front line, seen everything that is going on and I am not buying that the only way to keep COVID-19 a bay is to inject everyone. Listen, when this thing first started the medical profession were tossed to the wolves unprotected, and threatened. Personal Protective Equipment was locked up and if you wore N95 (which the CDC has recommended off and on) you were threatened with discipline. The CDC and all the government has gone back and forth with their information and no one can say Sars has not been around for some time. Later I will provide a link. People are standing up for their rights and their freedom to choose what is injected into their bodies. Why? Take a look:

Finally, Anything that creates this much chaos, hate, or distrust in each other is not from God. That gut wrenching feeling deep inside when you know something is not right.. I have had it since the beginning, it will not go away. The last thought for now is this:

10 Down to Many to Go

This journey has so many emotions rolled into it. Weeks go by 0.5lbs, 1 pound, +0.5, and etc. Seriously somedays I think the scale is off and I keep telling myself, keep going. Every little step is progress. Keep adjusting diet, move a little more, drink more water and do not give up! How many of you are in the same position? I went to the doctor and it was recorded 10 down!!! Then they suggested I start take medication to suppress my appetite and increase the weight loss. I explained I do not eat much now, and I explained as a nurse I have seen the side effects of the medication. Some people become psychotic and do weird things like pull there eyebrows off, and did sores into their skin. Then when they reach their goal they add it all back on and more. No thank you I will pass. 10 is good, slowly and naturally. It may be slower and harder but when it is gone it is gone.! What do you guys think? What are tips and tricks that have helped you to lose weight and keep it off? I guess I never thought of weight lose including the mind. It starts in the mind and flows into everything else. How do you keep focused when the world pushed food? Hey guys I really could use your help. Leave your tips, ideas, thoughts in the comment section!!

 

Little worms

Sometimes I sit and look around observe and then meditate on what I see, seeking God in understanding and lately God has been showing me how unstable we are as a whole proclaimingbody of Christ. I have seen over the past few months how destructive one person can be if theyfind just the right people to drag into the midst of their scheme. How devious people can be when they choose to dislike someone, or make up their mind they don’t belong in the place they are. They get a made up mind start planting ideas or thoughts and then they cultivate it until that one person can divide the body of Christ, the church fellowship, a home, and so on. How easy and natural it seems to be to them that no one recognizes the damage they are doing not only to the person it is aimed at, but to the people they are bringing into the mix, and ultimately to themselves. God will protect his own, he will allow them to go through the process to teach them, to nurture them and bring them out stronger and higher than before. I thank God for allowing me to go through things so when I see another brother/sister going through I can reach out to them and encourage them to keep moving forward. I thank God for the pain and struggle it cause in me because then I can relate to someone with a seasoned heart. I praise God for bringing me out of the bondage of believing what other people say about me, bringing me through the pain and instead of leaving a hardness it left a seasoning, I thank him for opening my eyes to see how much damage can be done by one person no matter how innocent it may seem at the moment and by the time people see the damage its done sometimes its to late because in most cases people will back slide. But I thank God with everything I am and will be has taught me forgiveness and mercy, taught me to love my enemies in spite of their motive. I am thankful God showing me who I am to him and he alone is all that matters. He is taught me to understand if we see our selves through other people’s eyes we will never see our true self and will never be able to ful fill our purpose. People will always talk about you, people will always accept what is said about you but just remember you are not what man says you are who God says you are and if you understand and accept that you will be ok. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Thank you Lord!

 

Stand in the need of prayer

I want to share something with you because there are none of us who are exempt from needing prayer including me. God has been dealing with my heart the past couple of days and I want to share this with you because are in similar situations as mine. I have worked as a nurse for 15 years and the last 7 months I have been out of work because of my lower and upper back, in October even went as far as had a fusion. I have been struggling with God because he has been telling me to let go of this job completly and knowing in the flesh if I did or do let go the money coming in would be no more. So I have struggled to hold on taking meds, seeing doctors, and so on but the past few days God really began dealing with my heart and speaking to me and showing me everytime I feel well enough to return to work the day of an appointment or therapy the pain would be so much worse and would linger a day or two after. I would take the pain meds and muscle relaxers and it took the edge off but never totally took away the pain, but God showed me how my body is getting used to them so they are no longer effective. As I prayed today, I asked GOd why he hasn’t healed me like he said he would, why a job hasn’t opened that I could do, why the money issue hasn’t been resolved and in my spirit vision of idolatry, and fear flashed before my eyes and my heart became burdened. He told me to cut ties to my place of employment but I held/hold on to it out of fear and it became more important than God. He won’t heal me if I am under the very thing he removed me from. He won’t provide the next level until I have chosen him above all.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct they paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil.'(Proverbs 3 5-7 KJV)
Please stand with me in prayer as I turn in my notice and disconnect from the source he has told me to leave behind. I am grateful I serve a mighty GOd who will never give up on me!

 

Unity can not be achieved

John 17: 20-23 “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on methrough their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou; Father, art in me, and I in thee, that t hey also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they be one even as we are one; 23 I in them and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”
Jesus was confident that his followers would spread the gospel, and he prayed for those who would believe as a result and all those in the future that would believe. John 17 : 11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you, Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name the name you gave me so they may be one, as we are one.”
This verse strongly emphasizes unity. Here is the thing unity has already been given, it is not something that is achieved. The meaning “always be one” rather than “they become one” The unity is to be like the Father and the Son. It is so much more than the unity of organization , the church’s divisions are a result of the failures of Christians. Pause and think about this for a moment. The unity of believers should have an effect on the outsiders; to convince them of the mission of Christ. The prayer Jesus’s prayed rebukes the groundless and often bitter divisions among believers.
Believers are to be characterized by humility and service, just as Christ was, and it is in them that God’s glory rest. That they be one as we are one. Unity is something that is so important and is what hiolds the body together. The Lord emphasized and re-emphasized the imprtance of unity among his followers. The standard the is the unity of the Father and the Son. Think about this there are two indwellings ( being an inner activating or guiding force) 1: that of the Son iin believers 2: The Father in the Son. THe latter part is a reality that the former can take place. COMPLETE UNITY. How can we effective evangelize without unity. Jesus emphasized unity not only because of the connection to the mission but also to GOd’s love for people and for Christ.
As I read this passage God began to deal with my heart that instead of striving for unity in the body of Christ understand it is already given to us, and it is us who divides it. God set the standard for us to follow because he loves us so much. Unity can not be achieved because it already has been given. May the word of God speak to our hearts and transform our minds to understanding that we may live and walk and breathe in truth.

I am Third is a Bible study series dealing with the fact that God has order and in his order we must understand the principle of the order God has set for his children to follow.  God should be first and foremost in our lives. We can not live and truly tap into his abundance for our lives if he is not first. Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for the lovingkindness and for thy truth; for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” So many times we fail to realize that our percepetion or attitude toward God’s word determines the degree to which we are spiritual men or women. Do you believe that the Bible was just another book written by man? What about this? Do you place people, places, things, feelings, or personal experiences above the written word of God?   Is God’s word your only ruling, guide for right and believing practical application?

Psalm 138:2 clearly let’s us know that God has magnified his word above his Holy name. If God has magnified his word and placed it above his Holy name then it is a pretty good indicator that God has a very high regard for HIS word. Neglecting GOd’s word and trying to live a spiritual life by feelings and personal experiences causes us to cut short of God being first and foremost in our lives. I challenge you to open yourself up to spiritual influence far removed from the one true God.

The toll of communication we use is words. HIS WORD- THE BIBLE: God communicated who he is to us and what he has done for us through words,, his words The Bible.

We are getting into trouble with this concept because of the fact people today do not believe that the Bible is the revealed word of God and the real will of God. Listening sometimes to people describe the Bible fascinates me because if they would just dig a little deeper and understand it is more that just stories, traditions, reasonings and that man wrote it by their own ability and insight. I used to fall under this category of people until I learned accepted and received to all of God’s word is for me applies to me and is there for me to draw on, however most people pick sand choose their beliefs or what fits their lives right in that momoment and decides the rest of the Bible doesn;t fit them and they don’t need it.

The Word of God, Bible is just like God it is an all or nothing principle. If you really want to tap into the power of God you first must have God and secondly we must know and accept God’s word from Genesis all the way through Revelation.

Jeremiah 2:13 “For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. ”

God’s people has forsaken him, God is likened to a fountain of living waters, A fountain has unlimited supply and this supply is giving forth living water. When God’s people turn their back on him/forsake him they carve themselves broken cisterns that can hold no water. A cistern is an artificial reservoir(like an underground tank) for storing liquids and especially water.

What do broken cisterns look like? Philosophies, religions, traditions, and ideas of man. Broken cisterns can hold no water which in result no true spiritual life is present.

We are going to stop here for today because I want you to think about what you really believe in. Are your beliefs based on unalterable truths of God’s word which is the fountain of living water? Are your beliefs based on the religions, traditions and man ideas? Is the reason you do what you do based on feelings, past experiences, good feelings? Or do you what you do because God’s word says to do?

GOD IS THE FOUNTAIN OF THE LIVING WATERS AND HE HAS MAGNIFIED HIS WORD ABOVE ALL HIS NAME!

 

 

 

 

 

refiner’s fire

And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the  Lord  an offering in righteousness. (Malachi 3:3 KJV) It is like watching a silver smith. He holds the piece of silver over the fire and lets it heat up and they have to hold the silver on the middle because that is where the hottest flames are. As it is being held over the hottest flames it is burning off all the impurities. God will sometimes hold us in “hot spot”. Now the silver smith has to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver is being refined.  Not only does the silver smith have to sit there, hold the silver, he also has to keep his eye on the silver at all times. Why? Because if the silver is left to long it would be destroyed. How do you know the silver is refined? Because you are able to see your image in it. In this God is the silver smith we are the silver so if you are going through the fiery furnace know God is right there with you, he has his eye on you and he won’t leave you in there long enough to be destroyed but long enough to be able to see his image. Embrace your adversities and know God is in control

Prison Ministry

You hold in your hands the key to a great treasure box. Inside the box gold, silver, and precious jewels. The box in which these treasures are contained is rather unusual and not really appealing. It is surrounded by razor wire, electrified fenced and armed gaurd towers. But inside is great treasure men, women, and children precious to God who are waiting for you.

Prisoners need regeneration (which is a process of spiritual renewal or revival, restoration) not rehabilitation (to restore to a former state). Jesus Christ has commissioned us to reach behind the barbed wire fences and steel bars and touch the lives of the men, women, and children that are gripped by Satan’s shackles of sin.

Biblical regeneration 2 Corinthians 5: 16-17: 16 ” Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh; yea; though we have known Christ after flesh,yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things become new.”  Redemption is the restorations and fulfillment of God’s purpose in creation, and this takes place in Christ through whom all things were made and through whom all things are restored and made new. Society will still require them to pay for their crimes and even with their life but once they accept Jesus Christ as their personal saviour God has forgiven them and they are a new creation just like you and me. Think about that for a minute.

You should be concerned about prison ministry because :

1: It is scripture mandated. Through out the scriptures the Bible reference to prison, prisoners, imprisonment more than 130 times.

2: We should follow the example of Christ set by ministering to the prisoners.

3: Prisons meet the criteria of a mission field, lost people (harvest) and the need for labours. Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great but the labourers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. ”

4: God is not willing for any of us to perish. 2Peter 3:9 ” The Lord is not slack concering his promise as some men count slackness but it is the long suffereing to usward, not willing that any shall perish but that ALL should come to repentance.” 1Timothy 1:15-16

” This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acception, that Christ Jesus caame into the world to save sinners of whom I am chief. 16: Howbe it for this cause I obtained mercy that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all long suffering for a pattern to them which hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.”

5: For every 1 person incarcerated affects at least 3-5 people.

6: False religions and cults, gangs are setting upi camp in the prisons and reaching out to them and those that want to change are graspiing the only thing available to them. We need to as believers to reach out in the name of Jesus Christ and put out there the opportunity for eternal life as a choice.

WHAT DOES THE GOSPEL OFFER THEM?

1: Forgiveness for sin.

2: a chance to say I am sorry

3: release from guilt and shame

4: acceptance when many of them have only know rejection.

5: new coping skills

6: shows the true basic for true relationship

7: Life abundant through Jesus Christ.

8: A new purpose for living.

9: MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL ETERNAL LIFE

WHAT CAN WE DO?

There is something for everyone here in this church to do.

As I close there is a couple of scriptures I want to leave with you.

1 Timothy 4:12: “Let no man despise they youth; but be thou an example of the believers in word in conversation, in charity, in spirit in faith in purity. ”

1 Corinthians 13 is one of the greatest motivatin force behind in ministry and that is love. Love for GOd, Love for mission tho which God calls.

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath annoited me to preach the good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that our bound;

Everything we do as believers affects the world around us.

A life memorizing scripture brings knowledge but applying it brings life!
